Dear Arlington Families;
The time is passing quickly as we are already in the 4th quarter. Reports cards have gone home and I am asking for a favor from all families, please take the time to review your child’s report card carefully with them. Praise them for all their hard work and have a frank discussion with them if they are not doing well in a particular area. Have a conversation with your child’s teacher as well so they can work with you to make your child end of the year successful. Retaining a student is a difficult decision for all of us, but students MUST complete the required work to demonstrate they have learned the grade level requirements.
Grade 6 parents/families: If your child fails reading, writing, or math they must go to summer school to pass 6th grade. Summer school is expensive and requires you to transport your child daily to Cranston East for approximately 6 weeks, every day. I have had this conversation with your children, please reinforce it with them.
Thank you, Mrs. David

Please note the following:
  • v Doors open at 8:40. Students are late after 9:05 and an adult must sign them in. Breakfast is also not served after 9:05.
  • v If you or another adult is picking up a student, picture identification is necessary. Make sure your child’s emergency card is updated as needed.
  • v Parents must call the school, 270-8179, when their children are out sick.
  • v The playground IS NOT school property so therefore it is not supervised. Children should not be dropped off there in the morning or congregated there either before or after school. IT IS NOT SAFE!
  • v Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for school. As the weather gets warmer it is important to remember clothing must be appropriate for a learning environment. Students are aware of the guidelines, which are: No spaghetti straps, halter-tops or razorbacks, undergarments should not be visible, and shorts/skirts need to be at fingertip length or longer. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for physical education days as well. I thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Mrs. Michelle David,
